Marquez next Manny up?

Manny Pacquiao admitted a leg injury had hampered him against Shane Mosley - but he is still set to fight again before 2012.

The Filipino retained his WBO welterweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas with a landslide points triumph over the challenger.

But, having dazzled against Antonio Margarito last time out, the 32-year-old southpaw was way below his best against the defensive Mosley.

He had the experienced American down in the third round but cramp in his left leg in the fourth curtailed his hopes of bringing about an early finish.

"We will talk about an opponent. Marquez is a great possibility, then there's Timothy Bradley and Zab Judah. We will discuss it next week."

"It wasn't my best performance but I did my best," Pacquiao said. "My leg tightened up in the middle rounds and I couldn't move.

"This is the same problem I had when I fought (Juan Manuel) Marquez so we are going to have to work on this."

On the knockdown, Pacman added: "I got him with a lucky shot. Mosley is not slow. He is fast. He was waiting for me to make a mistake and he wanted to counter. I was careful with that.

"I think he felt my power. I want to fight toe-to-toe but this is boxing. It depends on the style of the opponent."

Promoter Bob Arum confirmed that the intention was for Pacquiao to be back in the ring before the end of 2011, with Juan Manuel Marquez a possible opponent.

The duo have met twice before; their first contest was scored as a draw after Mexican Marquez climbed off the canvas three times in the opening round, while the rematch went the way of Pacman on points.

"I think he's going to fight again in November," said Arum straight after his fighter's victory over Mosley.

"We will talk about an opponent. Marquez is a great possibility, then there's Timothy Bradley and Zab Judah. We will discuss it next week."

As for Pacquiao, his main concern was returning home to get back to his day job.

He added: "Whoever the opponent is that Bob gives me I will fight them. It doesn't matter (to me). Right now, though, I'm going to go back home to work in Congress and also to rest."
